The main cost is not the water but heating the water which means you would actually be saving A LOT more that $9 a year.

Before you start preaching to others on ‘the facts’, make sure your not misleading everyone. The true cost of your wares is 5 times greater than you quoted because you didn’t add in the sewer cost portion. You pay this even on water used on the lawn as the cost is built into the gallons used.
