I still don't fully believe in clean coal. It seems like a good idea on paper, but it continues our dependency on a resource that is not renewable and is bad for the environment. It seems like more of a buzz word for the candidates to use.

It is cool to see the different candidates views laid out like that. They do a really nice job of presenting it, I especially like that you can hide the rows, which makes it easier to compare the different candidates.

I think the clean coal issue is pretty interesting. I saw a recent video on ABC(?), where they stated that in large part, clean coal is just an idea that has not been tested. Apparently the cities around the coal plants don't want to be the first to pump massive amounts of CO2 into the Earth.

The reason this is on the candidates minds, however, is because lobbyists have been following around the candidates and handing out pamphlets, t-shirts, and other paraphernalia to the people attending the events. This hypes up the crowd and in turn creates a talking point.

I haven't independently checked this out yet, but it makes sense. Politics is a truly interesting game.
