Sorry but did you not read the article you commented on about what was written about Sigg Bottles. They are dangerous and you are recommending buying them for your kids. I suggest rereadig the article and purchasing Stainless steel bottles.

the crocodile creek website describes the bottles as being lead- "safe" and not lead-free. someone on amazon.com that was reviewing the bottle said they thought the paint on the bottles may contain lead. anyone know anything about this ? on the website, the lunch boxes are described as being lead-free.

These bottles are perfectly safe and have the cutest designs for kids. There are matching lunch boxes and the bottles fit nicely inside. Perfect for school lunches! I found a great selection and the best prices at www.bagtodiffer.com.

I have one of these bottles (I wanted a bottle small enough to carry in my purse) and am washing it for the first time. Thought I'd point out that the Crocodile Creek website and the directions I got with the bottle both do recommend hand washing, with either vinegar or baking soda.

I apparently need a bottle brush, since nothing I have will fit into its tiny little neck! Good thing I was only using it for water and expect that soaking overnight in vinegar water will be enough.

Before buying a Sigg bottle you should read about their "proprietary" lining.
