Obama: “Jump Start the Clean-Energy Industry”
After just hearing President Obama’s first Oval Office address, I came away feeling hopeful for the future of renewable energy in our nation.
The President started the speech by showing is displeasure with the spill and the fear of what it could have on the environment and the people in those areas. BP is not going to get away from this situation without any consequences. They will “pay for the damage their company has caused”. Strong words that are felt by many in our nation after this long and frustrating situation.
What I really liked about the speech is the way that he laid out a plan for our future. Not just about the oil spill and for BP, but that our country must go forward with pursuing more “clean-energy”. He details the ways that renewable energy has already made a difference and how it can change our future.
I say we can’t afford not to change how we produce and use energy, because the long-term costs to our economy, our national security and our environment are far greater.
President Obama, you are very correct. Drastic change needs to happen and the sooner the better. I am left feeling hopeful after hearing this speech and look forward to the growth of renewable energy in our country.

The action of President Obama can become a good campaign to save our environment. I really support this.
I hope it just does not stay in speech and turns into reaction.
Something must be done.
Yes man, something is changing in the way we produce energy. Something must change!
I recently found an interesting article about this topic. Its title is Future Global Energy Prospererity: The Terawatt Challenge. You can download the document searching it with Google or visiting http://www.livingreen.it, my new green-blog.
Congratulation for the way you drive your Blog! Antonio
Yes, hopefully Obama will go though with his words. I am still upset about how long it took him to do or say anything about it. Its pretty sad the the Governor of Louisiana said he would rather of had FEMA come in. I also have heard that they are using paper towels to clean up the mess, so, what use paper towels and cut down more trees, to sop up spilled oil? So diminish another one of our precious resources to fix yet another big mistake of a global corporation.
