  1. We have a very good and big farmers market in my area, which is open year round. You can almost always find some really great fruits and veggies, but they also have a meat market, as well as offering a lot of different types of plants and trees for your garden.

  2. Yanic at Adventures Into Green has an interesting post series about eating locally. Here’s a link to the first post in the series: http://greentobe.blogspot.com/2009/05/100-mile-diet-or-our-own-variation-part.html

  3. The farmers market is a big hit around smaller cities and towns, especially in more liberal little towns that are more environment conscience, like the town of Ithaca. It’s a little hippie town, with a local farmers market that’s always popular.

    Till then,

  4. mmm, nothing beats fresh corn and preserves from farmers markets. It’s a great way to support the community and also get some nutritious, fresh food. Good resources. thanks

  5. There are many advantages when we go to the farmer’s market. We can talk many things about the local produces directly with the farmers. We can also bargain for the prices. And finally, we can get fresh produces after we buy them.
