I agree that wind turbines are one of the energy sources of tomorrow. This technology definitely needs to expand so that it is used on a more widespread basis. One of our local ski hills recently installed a wind turbine to fulfill its energy needs.
Wind and water power are the future for sure! I’ve never been near one close enough to hear it, but I would think that steady kind of noise is something people could assimilate to and ignore over time, like living beneath an airport route or near train tracks.

There were also false claims that wind turbines gave cows seizures and the turbines would consequently have the same effect on people. There is also a youtube video of a wind turbine falling apart. Some groups manipulated this video and made claims about the imminent threat of wind turbines collapsing. The video was actually a test done in Texas by a large turbine manufacturing company to understand the potential impact. To date, this incident has not occurred.

As for the wave technology, I can’t wait for it to grow exponentially. There are more municipalities experimenting with wave technology to diversify their ‘energy portfolios’, which is a good indicator of what is to come. I hope the two forms of renewable energy can support one another in their growth and get more clout for funding and public support together.

I’ve never understood why wave power has been ignored in favour of wind power. In the long term this will be seen as folly.
