  1. Many people do not stop to consider how much energy they are wasting by taking longer showers. A nice warm shower feels so good that people like to prolong it. I think your last point about only showering is the best tip. In an attempt to save time, people move a lot of their bathroom tasks into the shower. There is consequences to this minute time saving though.

  2. Agree with the point above. Sometimes they just don’t border about how much energy could be used while having fun with the warm shower.
Great tip up there and I wish people could read it.

  3. So true, I have to admit long showers are my one eco-vice… I try my best not to, but once in a while I succumb. But to make up I skip showers: all weekend days and work from home with the laptop days that bring me nowhere except to my BF’s, why shower at all? For that and for the grocery trip a quick wash at the wash stand will do. Remember this: when I was a kid (talking 60’s/70’s) it was normal to have a bath/shower once a week and my grandmother didn’t have either in her house and washed herself in the kitchen!

Great points. It’s hard to be perfect when showering. It seems that our society’s obsession with smelling “nice” puts the idea that we need to take a shower at least once a day. I don’t shower either if I am just staying in the house on the weekends. It just doesn’t make any sense.

  4. Nice Post! I usually take long time to take shower because I like that. However I would not try to reduce my shower time.
