I have a farm & I’ll be heading there soon. I’m selling off my freezer full of healthy meat, because I have so much more on the farm that I have to harvest. I’ll be coming back to Los Angles in October w/ a few more freezers full of meat. Interesting that people think I shouldn’t charge more than Walmart does! I’ll give it to my friends before I sell it for junk meat prices.
Very true Rawn. Prices are deceptive in an oversaturated, large-scale market. Wish I lived closer, I would gladly buy meat from you.
I recommend entering your business (if you haven’t had the chance already) on the Eat Well Guide, Coop America (i think it is now “Green America”), Local Harvest, and other sites if you are looking for more buyers.

This film is amazing. Everyone should see it. I enjoyed it a lot more than Food Inc (though people should still see that one) because of its positive message. It leaves you with a feeling of hope and a drive for change.
Just saw Fresh…I am amazed at the practical applications that the growers employed. I do have a certain mistrust of this site if Wal-MART can advertise on the same page. We cant forget that they want a part of the action because of the money that organics can bring them-NOT because they want to “do good”. In my opinion, the only way to do away with the giant businesses that affect the way we eat and live is to not give them any business. I am proud to say I have a small garden, I buy food from local farmers and I am a member of Slow Food movement. It is a start.

The actual articles are not necessarily the root of a company Press Release, but a writer’s interest in the topic. Hope that helps!
Personally, I am all about personal supply chain management: the smaller, more local and ethical, the better. Congrats on the garden! Being an active participant is more than a start, wonderful to hear about your involvement. I am going to write a piece on Slow Food coming up, so I look forward to learning more about your experience with the movement and the organization.
