It does make you stop and wonder what his motives are exactly, but then again does it really matter as long as he and his money help to get the ball rolling on wind power!?!
Maybe I’m naive, but I hope that he made his money in oil and has plenty left over in his old age to try to fix the environment for his grand children. Whatever the reasons, I think someone like him is much more likely to get something going with wind-power than a lot of poor, vocal environmentalists.
It is going to take someone very powerful like him really get things started. At least the big electric companies in Texas are starting to pick up on Wind Energy as they are investing almost $5 billion into getting the infrastructure ready for more wind farms in West Texas. I just hope more mid-west states follow with similar plans.
