This is pretty cool! Some of the questions were hard to answer though, as I just plain didn’t know.. Apparently if everyone lived like me they would need 3.6 Planet Earths to provide enough resources.
I like the Ecological Footprint calculator that you reference because it is more sophisticated and let’s you “dive deep” to provide more detail. I’m sure there are lots of other calculators out there, but I haven’t run into any online yet.
The company will also strengthen environmental cooperation with suppliers and partners, including supporting the implementation of green management systems such as ISO 14001, and the establishment of greenhouse gas inventories.
I want to take advantage of environmental calculator. For the first time I hear of such a calculator. Although I doubt that the result can be considered a 100% objective.
Its awesome!I have never came across such a calculator…its interesting to find out what will it be like if everybody on earth lived the same lifestyle as me.
Someone should make a calculator that calculates the footprint for non eco-friendly web hosting. I can’t imagine the amount of energy that needs to be utilized to power an entire datacenter filled with racks and racks of power-hungry servers.
