Great article. I have tried this remedy and it works … very well! To me, it works better than the commercial brands and there’s no toxic fumes or chemicals. It’s funny … there’s a sense of accomplishment when one adds the vinegar and hears the “sizzle”. 🙂
Thanks for sharing! BTW … I see that you’re on Stumbleupon … I’ve given this article a thumbs up and sent you a friend request (it’ll come as Cadsupport1).

It such good tips to clean the drains. These ingredients are easy to get in the market and easy to make this mixture at home and important thing is that it is not harmful like acid or other chemicals. I will use it also at my home.
Bicarb is great as a base for so many household products such as deodorant, toothpaste, shaving foam, & carpet cleaner. The stuff rocks!
Nice, Awesome list didn’t know that worked 😛
Great tip, my aunt told me about this tip and it works like a charm! Use a sink plunger to try forcing the drain to clear. You’ll need a few inches of water in the sink to help make a vacuum seal for the plunger and a few forceful plunges to make this work. You can buy a sink plunger that’s about a 1/3 of the size of a regular toilet plunger. These are only a couple bucks, need very little room and they’re great to keep under the kitchen sink in case of a clogged drain. You can use a full sized sink or toilet plunger if you can’t find a small sink plunger.
Draino also is highly corrosive, so if you use it too frequently or improperly, you’re likely to wind up with a much higher plumber’s bill later on.
Also consider picking up a drain auger from your local hardware store. A hand-powered one shouldn’t cost you more than $10-20 and it, too, can save you a lot of hassle and calls to the plumber.
this is great. it works so much better than the normal products.
