  1. As the owner and author of The Green Market (http://thegreenmarket.blogspot.com). I want to thank you for your efforts promoting Green in 2008 and I would like to support your ongoing efforts for 2009. As the economy is in a free fall, Green is entering a critical stage in its life cycle and now more than ever bloggers need to disseminate the facts about our environment and the role we can play in addressing these complex issues.

    Best Regards,

  2. As someone concerned about the environment and as a mother, I understand where the law is coming from, something had to be done. However, this is really a good idea poorly executed. My MIL is one of many Etsy dealers who could potentially be put out of business by this bill – she makes stunning hand-crafted children’s clothes, here in the U.S. Testing each piece of each item she creates is cost prohibitive. We are putting the small U.S. businesses out of business – doesn’t seem right. There must be a better way to protect our children from harmful products without shutting down individual crafters, small businesses and consignment shops. I would prefer to by a hand-made item for my children from a local crafter than a mass produced item any day. Thanks for the nice summary.
